ABOUT KIMBERJAC

Our name is a combination of two names. Kimberly (yours truly) and Jack, my beloved Grandfather, Major John R. Boyle, who passed away in 1983. This naming is a small way for me to honor his memory.

I have enjoyed Labradors most of my life, having been lucky enough to have had several as childhood companions. I simply can’t imagine my life without them. Whether I want to go for a walk in the woods, take a weekend off and go to a dog show, go enjoy the lake, or simply sit and watch a movie, regardless of the activity, my dogs are always enthusiastic participants. I am very proud to have bred beautiful dogs that are cherished members of their families, just as I cherish the ones I have kept here with me at Kimberjac.

Our breeding purpose is to continually improve on our lines, with the breed standard as our guide and the maintenance of health and soundness of utmost importance. Careful consideration is given when choosing a male to compliment our female. No dog will be used in our breeding program without OFA hip, elbow and heart clearances, as well as CERF eye clearances. Breedings are only done occasionally, when we are looking for our next show/breeding prospect. We do not have litters simply to make puppies to sell. We are not a “kennel” and we are not a “business.” We are Labrador enthusiasts with a goal to produce our own line of Labradors that are everything a Labrador should be: typey, trainable, and of outstanding temperament.

Kimberjac is located in Sumpter Township, a modest, rural area in southern Michigan, where we are able to stretch out on partially wooded acres.
